They've changed Daylight Savings Time. Now what?

So, I never remember when DST starts and finishes. Congress passed a law in 2005 to “save energy” by making DST longer, though. This year, I know that it used to start on the 1st Sunday in April, but now it starts the 2nd Sunday of March. That’s March 11th this year. Why do I care? My computers have to be updated (Novell and Microsoft both have updates to change it). Maybe my newish VCR will update. Perhaps my cell phone will, too. I’m betting that my Palm PDA has to be manually set to do it. What about my older VCR? If I change it now, will it change AGAIN on April 1st? Will I be really early for appointments because my Palm wasn’t right (or is it really late)? Church services on the 11th will be very interesting...

The kicker? I heard on Public Radio’s Future Tense that the law was written to allow Congress to roll back DST to the original time if things don’t go well this years. So, this year is one big experiment?
